By my last class yesterday I was starting to lose my voice. All I could think of was Carrie-Anne's quote I shared in this post about sitting and drinking a tea. Hot tea.
I got home and slipped right into my comfy clothes. I cut up the onion and minced the garlic for the soup. I dumped them into the pot with the hot olive oil and started cooking them. Then I put on the kettle for my tea. Lavendar tea. Soothe me and relax me tea.
I chose the mug that has been my favorite lately, and I got out a mismatched saucer to set it on. I thought of the book I am reading, After Alice, and how the main character Ada, finally got to meet the Madhatter and his zany friends with their own mismatched tea cups and saucers.
The tea I was making was my INVITE to sit and relax and sip. To soothe what needed soothing.
