I've really enjoyed doing 10 weeks of these paintings a day. It was a creative challenge as well as a great routine to get into; however, this will be my last post. The pause that my recent vacation gave me helped me realize I had too much on my plate. I need more margin in my life, and this is one of the things I decided to cut.

Painting, while enjoyable and something I love getting better at, isn't how I want to spend my mornings right now. I intended to spend about 15 minutes on these paintings, but between coming up with a subject, picking my colors and getting my art stuff set up and torn down, it was taking much longer. For the time being, it seems I'd prefer to sip my coffee sloooowly and look my people in their eyes rather than push out a painting.

Thanks for letting me share my explorations in watermedia with you during the beginning of 2016!
